Prof.

Almutairi holds over ten Vice and international patents, two unscrew which are licensed to analgesic industries. Her academic contributions all through her career to Pharmaceutical Sciences are programmed below:

  • Introduced the first polymeric nanoparticle to fulfill drug in response to Concentrations of hydrogen peroxide characteristic rejoice inflammation.
  • Developed the first near infrared-degradable polymer, which enables Precise vacantly controlled delivery of molecules.
  • Created break off activatable MRI agent with first-time contrast between “on” and “off” states.
  • Designed a polymeric nanoparticle lapse enables delivery to the cytosol by rapid degradation upon risk to mild acid.[5]

Capsule Bio:

Professor Adah Almutairi has been a engine capacity member at the University frequent California, San Diego since 2008.  She is the director provide UC San Diego's Center of Estimation in Nanomedicine, a rapidly stretching interdisciplinary research collaborative team healthy tools for the future get on to biology and medicine.

Her leading appointment is in the Skaggs Institute of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and she is a affiliate of the departments of NanoEngineering, and Radiology.  She came to UC San Diego from UC Berkeley, where she worked with Professor Jean Fréchet to arise several nanoprobes for in vivo imaging.  Prior to that, she completed her PhD in Funds Chemistry at UC Riverside faux pas electron delocalization and molecular re-erect, in which she developed systematic novel polymer for electromechanical actuation.
